“This House Believes Multiculturalism Has Failed Britain” – a very special evening of debate

Speaking for the motion

Trevor Phillips OBE – the former head of the Equalities and Human Rights Commission, Phillips is now a broadcaster and president of the John Lewis partnership council.

David Goodhart – leads the new Demography, Immigration and Integration unity at Policy Exchange to help inform government policy. Author of bestseller “The British Dream: The Successes and Failures of Post-war Immigration”.


Professor Tariq Modood – a leading multiculturalist, Modood is director of the Centre for Study of Ethnicity and Citizenship at the University of Bristol, having recently published “Still Not Easy Being British: Struggles for a Multicultural Citizenship”.

Zoe Williams  with The Guardian since 2000, Williams is an award-winning national newspaper columnist. She was nominated for the Orwell Prize in 2012.

Week 7, Tuesday 16th February

Martin Daubney on “Pornography and the Demonisation of Young Men”

Mr Daubney is superbly placed to talk to young people about the dangers of porn and the new era of sexual consent.
